Our baking lessons are going really well. We love learning how to bake new things every week. Last week we made pizza and this week we made Mary Berry’s Flapjacks with Mrs Mc Leod. They are a yummy healthy treat. If you want to try the flapjacks here’s what to do:
Melt 225g of margarine with 225g of Demerara sugar and 75g of golden syrup. Add 275g of porridge oats and the zest of a lemon. Press the mixture into two 8 inch round tins lined with baking parchment and bake for 30 minutes at 160 degrees celsius until golden brown. Let them cool in the tin before cutting them into slices.
Then enjoy with a glass of milk or a cup of tea!
