BATTERIES FOR BARRETSTOWN
We are collecting batteries of all kinds to raise funds for Barretstown to help this wonderful charity with it’s energy costs. We have collection boxes in the school. Please help us to gather as many as possible. By recycling batteries we are helping to keep our environment clean and fresh. Batteries are made from important resources and chemicals, including lead, cadmium, zinc, lithium and mercury. If batteries are thrown into the rubbish bin they will be taken to landfill sites and the resources lost. Each battery we recycle will be taken apart and many of the materials will be recovered and used to make new batteries and other products. Everyone benefits!!!
On December 7th we will have our annual sale which is being organised by 6th class. This will take place in the school and everyone is welcome. Please support us to raise funds for the school our local St. Vincent De Paul. You can donate any items in good condition (not clothes or footwear).
HAMPERS
We are also collecting items to make hampers for needy families that we will give to St. Vincent De Paul to distribute. Please help us by donating non-perishable items of food and unwanted gifts in good condition.
CHRISTMAS SERVICE
Our annual Christmas Celebration will take place on December 20th at 11am in the church. All are welcome to join us to celebrate and give thanks.
