We have noticed a lot of butterflies flying around the yard from the meadow and wild flower area between the school and the new housing estate. It is full of life with bees, butterflies and birds, busy feeding off the pretty wildflowers. We even got to see a Speckled Wood butterfly on the Sycamore tree behind the school when we went picking helicopter seeds!
So, for art we were inspired to paint beautiful patterned butterflies for our class display. Next week we are going to paint the flowers that the butterflies and bees love to feed off and then we can put it all together to make a colourful wildlife display.
We will show you when it is finished.
Here are some of the beautiful butterflies we have painted so far.
