Off to a great start

Junior Infants are already off to a great start creating wonderful displays for the classroom . We all designed our own giant pencils and yesterday we painted Autumn Apple Trees , as we love to sing the song Five Red Apples. We hope you like them .

Last Day

Today is our very last day. We celebrated by having an ice lolly party under the shade of our lovely trees. Junior & Senior Infants are ready to move to their new rooms. Best of luck from Ms Boylan & Ms Hodgins and have a great summer .

End of Year

Tomorrow we move to our new class. We have all had a great year in Junior Infants. Ms Boylan is so proud of us all. She gave us a certificate today to remember all the progress we made. We look forward to a great summer and being Senior Infants .

Junior Infants Tour

Junior Infants had a great day on their tour today. We got the big bus to Stephenstown Pond . We fed the ducks , saw the swans and cygnets , had two picnics , played in the playground and really enjoyed the magician show . It was a very fun day and a great first tour . Thanks to all the teachers and Belle and Katie who came to help .

Scoil Bhríde Fun Day June 2018

Junior and Senior Infants had great fun taking part in their races, playing games and bouncing on the bouncing castle! A great day was had by all!

Safe in the Sun

Junior Infants are really enjoying the sunny weather we are having. Yesterday we did PE in the park . We have been learning about taking care of ourselves in the sun , always wearing a hat and using sun protection. We are bringing extra drink to school. Sunny days are very popular and make us all smile . Hope you enjoy our latest class photograph.

Planting our Vegetables

Today Junior Infants planted vegetables . Each group have a vegetable pot to care for. At the moment they are in small seed pots and as they grow we will transfer them outside. The Cinderella group planted Radishes; The Beanstalk group planted Aubergines; The Snow White group planted Gerkins; The Goldilocks Group planted Coriander and finally the Gingerbread Group also planted Aubergines. We need to check our pots twice a day and be sure they have enough water and light. We look forward to a lovely crop of healthy vegetables and everyone will get a chance to taste them .

May is the month of Mary

Junior Infants have been learning about the importance of Mary in the month of May. We have dedicated our prayer table to Mary and we are learning to pray the Hail Mary and sing the song When Creation was Begun.

Rainbow Madness

Junior Infants have been very busy discussing the theme of Rainbows. We read the story Rainbow Fish and this inspired us to make our very own Rainbow Fish display. We painted the fish and then used crepe paper and tinfoil to add scales to our fish.

We have also worked very hard on our handwriting and Ms Boylan is very proud of our progress. We all wrote a short poem about the Rainbow Fish as part of our class handwriting competition. Ms Moran was the judge and the winners were announced at assembly. Well done to Lily-Rose, Freya and Cormac. Our writing is displayed on our Heavenly Handwriting board .

Finally we made beautiful Bogha Báistí in art. Our room is certainly looking a lot more colourful with all these recent displays . We hope you enjoy them .
