World Book Day 2017

We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday the 2nd of March. The children dressed up as characters from their favourite books. The children brought their favourite books to school and also completed lots of book related activities throughout the day including; drawing characters from books, making comic strips, writing book reports and playing book related games such as ‘ask the author’. Everyone had a great day!

BUSY CARING FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT!

The Green Schools Committee and all pupils take great pride in our environment. Lately we checked to make sure that the recycling bins, the compost bins and the general rubbish bins were being used properly. We reminded everyone where to put their rubbish, compost and recyclable goods. Doing this makes us responsible citizens.

We have also been working on a section of the front garden. Derek from 4th class works with Ms. McDonald and some of the Green Schools Committee at lunchtime. They have been clearing, weeding and planting bud. Derek even found the jawbone of a dog buried in the garden!
