JUMBLE SALE

OUR JUMBLE SALE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS. CHILDREN HAD LOTS OF FUN BUYING & MS. MCEVOY & HER 5TH CLASS DID A SUPER JOB ORGANISING THE SALE. WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS OF THE RAFFLE AND “GUESS THE NAME OF THE DOG” ON TUESDAY. TICKETS FOR THE RAFFLE AND FOR GUESSING THE NAME OF THE DOG WILL CONTINUE TO BE SOLD ON MONDAY! WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE RAISED €1,500. WE WILL PRESENT OUR LOCAL ST. VINCENT DE PAUL WITH A CHEQUE FOR €500 AND THE REST WILL BE SPENT ON PURCHASING MATHS, SCIENCE & PE RESOURCES FOR THE CHILDREN.

LOTS OF WINNERS AT OUR RAFFLE

We had lots of prizes and lots of winners at our raffle. First prize was a faboulous voucher for Drogheda Leisure Centre (won by Isabel in 4th class) and second prize was €50 kindly donated by Fr. Murtagh (won by Jack in 6th class). There were twelve children who guessed  the name of dog which was PATCH. All names were put into a bag and Tara’s name was pulled out so she won PATCH. Here are some of the prize winners chosing their prizes and showing what they won.

Well done to Caitlin in 3rd class who not only got a beautiful new hairstyle but also donated the hair that was cut off to “The Little Princess Trust.” This is a UK charity that provides real hair wigs to children suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment and alopecia in the UK and Ireland, up to the age of 24. Wigs are funded or provided free of charge by the charity.

What a lovely gesture – thanks to Caitlin, another child will be lucky to have a beautiful blonde wig specially made for them as they go through their treatment.

AWARDS & REWARDS

Another fantastic group of students have been awarded for their efforts. Our Golden Book is almost full! This month lots of girls and boys were commended for their lovely handwriting! Well done to all!

GET READY TO RUMMAGE AT THE JUMBLE SALE!!

We will have our annual jumble sale on December 6th. Some of our proceeds will be donated to our local St. Vincent de Paul branch. So keep sending in any unwanted and pre-loved items in good condition (no shoes or clothes). We will be selling school jumpers and tracksuit tops that have been found but never claimed.

We would also be very grateful for donations for our food hampers for St. Vincent de Paul. We will have a box in the school for items. Maybe you can bring something when you are coming to our Jumble sale.

4th Class have made some lovely Christmas logs to sell at the jumble sale.

LOOK WHO POSTED THEIR LETTERS TO SANTA!

ANOTHER CLASS VISITS THE BUILDING SITE

Niall from SISK has been very kind to invite classes to visit the building site at the back of the school. Mr. Moore’s class and Ms. Hodgins class are the latest to visit the site.
