CÉAD MÍLE FÁILTE ARAIS!
Welcome back to all our pupils and staff. It is lovely to see all the children looking so smart in their new uniforms and coming into school every morning with a smile! A special welcome to our Junior Infants who are settling in very well to their new school routine.
We have new pupils in other classes too and I would like to welcome them and know they will be very happy with us in Scoil Bhríde.
OUR SCHOOL GROUNDS
The school is looking very well with lots of colour and our fruit trees are weighed down with delicious apples and pears. We are currently planting baskets and pots to add brighten up the grounds for Autumn and Winter. We welcome donations of spring bulbs, evergreen or winter flowering plants and shrubs you might have when clearing out your garden after the Summer.
Lorcan and Joseph have an important job this month helping Ms. Moroney to brighten up the school grounds by adding some colourful Autumn plants to the hanging baskets and pots.

RUGBY WORLD CUP!
As we settle into school life we have been the “Rugby World Cup” bug and we are all learning about thetwenty teams participating and decorating our classes in support of them. We are collecting stickers from ALDI in the hope of winning a prize for our school so please help us with this project. Here is what we have so far:
We need to cover Paul O’Connell completely and we can then enter a competition to win €50,000 for our school. We are asking everyone to give the stickers to the school to help us to achieve our goal of getting 300 stickers. WISHING IRELAND THE VERY BEST OF LUCK IN THE TOURNAMENT!
BUILDING AT BACK OF SCHOOL
The new housesbeing built at the back of the school are well under construction. The project manager Niall from SISK has kindly offered to take groups of pupils on a tour of the site. We are very excited about this and will have lots of questions ready for the builders! Ms. Moran and Ms. Keogh were invited to the site to meet the workers and to have burgers and chips with them. A raffle was organised to raise money to help the school to level and seed the land at the back of the school. We were kindly given €340 all raised by SISK workers on the site. A huge thank you for their generosity. Does anyone recognise that man standing beside Ms. Moran. He was very hungry!!!
Fifth class visited the building site and learned lots about how the houses are built. They discovered that the name of the new housing estate will be “Ravel Grange”. Abbie got to get a photo taken with her daddy who is busy working on the site.
